Really feels like a missed opportunity overall. It was cool having people who brewed up interesting stuff instead of "hey somebody else made this exact decklist and now I'll play it for you against all the other standard/modern netdecks you've seen before". I dropped the game since it was pretty impossible to keep your collection up to date once you fell behind (the lack of a way to get singles of specific cards really hurt the game for anyone who wasn't there since the beginning), but I watched plenty of content from the youtubers that still played the game. I really appreciated Duels as a place to play (and watch) the sort of low-powered, casual, brewing format that I love but can't really find anywhere outside of kitchen table Magic. r/magicTCG is not produced, endorsed, supported by, or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.
